SIGN UP NOW! Rohde & Schwarz VNA and Spectrum Analyzer Training | Sep. 20th, 2024

Posted on September 12, 2024 by Marco Iskander

The iEMSL is pleased to announce that the Rohde & Schwarz engineering team will run an in-person full-day training sessions on vector network analyzers (VNAs) and spectrum analyzers on September 20, 2024 (flyer is attached).

This training is designed to be both educational and hands-on, allowing you to perform real-world measurements using R&S VNAs and spectrum analyzers that can directly benefit your lab work. We’ll start the day with introductory measurements and progress to more advanced techniques in the afternoon. If you are attending, please sign up for either the morning or afternoon session, or both if you’d like. We look forward to seeing you there!

We highly recommend ECEN322 (or similar) being a prerequisite for attending the training.

Agenda
► 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM | Intro to VNA/Spectrum Analyzer Measurements
– S-parameters, Basic Calibration, VNA vs Signal Analyzers
– Measurements on R&S ZVA network analyzer and FSV spectrum analyzer

► 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM | More Advanced Topics on VNAs/Spectrum Analyzers
– Active Measurements for Amplifiers/Mixers on VNA and Spectrum Analyzer
– Considerations for active devices, P1dB, IIP3, NF, etc.

Pizza will be provided between sessions. Registration from here.

Moving In!

Posted on September 25, 2023 by James DePoy

Packing and unpacking is never fun, but we are incredibly excited to be slowly setting up shop in the new Intelligent Electromagnetic Sensor Labs! Over the next few days you’ll see us furnishing the lab with equipment, computers, and furniture. Be sure to swing by Weisenbaker Room 167 to say hello and see the progress we’ve made!

To all the contractors and employees who have helped to bring in the large furniture and heavy equipment, IEMSL says thank you!
